Royalty Free Stock Photos for Web Design

Stock photography websites contain thousands of existing photographs that can be licensed for specific uses. A customer who uses stock photography instead of hiring a photographer can save time, effort and money. Typically publishers can either purchase exclusive rights to a single image or they can purchase a subscription of sorts. The subscriptions allow publishers to download a limited number of photos over a specified period of time.

Stock photo websites allow webmasters, marketers and publishers to locate pictures for their marketing and promotional materials without the hassle of organizing a photo shoot. With copyright laws businesses must be very careful in using unlicensed photos.

There are also risks to using “free” photographs. Many of the free websites contain collaborative works from multiple photographers and artists. While the websites attempt to monitor the images in their collections in violation of copyright laws, there are no guarantees. If you opt to use photographs or images from a free portal, it is important to keep this in mind.

How To Choose A Gift For A Cancer Patient

When someone you know is strickened with cancer, you normally feel shocked and powerless. At the very least, we should lend our support by being there for them. One of the greatest ways to let a cancer patient know that we are there for them is by stopping by to visit and presenting them with a nice present.

How Can A Gift Help Cancer Patients?

Cancer is a very difficult disease to get over. Small tokens of support from friends and family members can let cancer patients know that someone truly cares about and empathizes with their situation. The gifts that you give to a cancer patient in your life should send the message that you care about them and are walking beside them hand in hand.

What are Some Gift Ideas for a Cancer Patient?

There are a lot of brilliant choices when it comes to selecting gifts for a cancer patient. Here’s a tiny list of nice gift ideas for cancer patients:

- Cancer stuffed toys like inspirational stuffed bears
- Apparel like t-shirts,hats or bags that promotes cancer awareness and survivorship
- Jewelry items like cancer bracelets or cancer awareness pins that promotes cancer awareness and survivorship
- Cancer patient journals, which are designed to encourage patients to utilize journaling as a therapeutic means of coping with their disease and its treatment
- Inspirational books about cancer survivors
- Gift certificates for life’s luxuries like massage treatments, manicures,or facials, which they might otherwise overlook during this time
- Gift certificates to their favorite stores to help purchase necessities
- Skin care products that are made especially for those getting radiation and other forms of cancer treatment
- Hats, turbans, scarves,or other accessories that might help offset some of the negative side effects of cancer treatment

Of course there are a lot of other different items that may be perfect present choices for the cancer patient in your life. The most suitable choice depends on the individual person and the relationship between the two of you. Remember that the thoughtfulness of your present will be appreciated just as much as the item itself.

What Shouldn’t I Give to a Cancer Patient?

While it is the thought that counts when giving gifts, it is critical that the gifts you choose do not send an inappropriate impression. Here’s a list of gifts that are bad for cancer patients:

- Gifts that could make a cancer patient feel uncomfortable about themselves such as wigs or false eyebrows
- Gifts that poke fun or humor with regards to cancer in some way
- Gifts that not at all connected to the cancer patient’s plight and are just general in nature
- Gifts that lack compassion or don’t have any kind of meaning
- Books on death and dying

A great gift you could consider is a copy of Natural Cancer Treatments That Work as you’ll find a ton of proven alternative cancer treatments that will greatly benefit any cancer patient. For more cancer general info and alternative treatments, please visit Natalie’s site at CancerArchive.com.

Mystery Auctions Are The New Hot Commodity On Ebay

Mystery Auctions Are The New Hot Commodity On Ebay

Quite a few sellers on eBay have found a new gold mine. So much so that eBay has a whole category dedicated to this new type of auction.
Mystery auctions, which now reside in the “Everything Else” parent category, are getting bids in the thousands of dollars. And buyers don’t even know what they’re getting!

The basic premise behind a mystery auction is to create some virtual or imaginary object to “sell” to buyers. To follow eBay’s TOS, sellers must list this item for sale, whether it’s a virtual dandelion or a Wonka Bar, and suggest that:

Anything else you receive is a gift from me to you.

Those magic words are making buyers flock to these auctions. A “tube of sunscreen” recently sold for over $4,500, but I’ll talk more about that later.

There are two major types of mystery auctions.

First is the multiple-item raffle type auction. This is a dutch auction, with each item ranging from $0.99 to $50. Many of these auctions are as simple as the seller sending cash back to the buyer’s paypal accounts. This is a “gift” in addition to the virtual item they actually bought. Some buyers get less than the sale price, some get more. The seller gets to keep the rest.

People love to gamble. As long as the cash remains “a gift from the seller”, it’s ok by eBay.

All you have to do is write an interesting auction, and you don’t even have to have an actual product.

The second type of mystery auction involves offering a silly item, such as Cheez Whiz, or a 7-year old hamburger, as the “item”. Then irresistible gifts are implied for winning the auction. Once a reputation is built up that the seller offers valuable items, bidders just can’t stop bidding.

Not only that, buyers are more than happy with what they receive. Another “tube of sunscreen” sold for $3,500 recently, and buyer feedback reads:

EZ IS THE MAN!100%Genuine&Trustworthy!Amazing GIFTS & MORE!Beyond SATISFIED!:-D

Figure out how to break into the mystery auction market and you’ve got a license to print money. And judging by the best selling items, anything you ever learned about building good looking websites is out the window. These auctions look terrible. Big flashing text, terrible music playing in the background, animated gifs, the whole bit.

Make it as ugly as possible, and rake in the cash. I’m gonna go write one right now.

9 Tips for Free Paid Surveys Success Tips in Making Money with Free Paid Surveys

9 Tips for Free Paid Surveys - Success Tips in Making Money with Free Paid Surveys

Thousands of people are quietly earning between $500 to $1500 or more a month by completing “real” free paid surveys, reviewing free offers and other get paid to (GPT) programs in their spare time. Here are 9 tips for success in making money with real paid surveys programs:

1. Signup using your paypal account email address. If you do not have one, you should get one for free at paypal.com. When completing offers, use a free email account like gmail.com (google mail). I prefer gmail.com because you can have a multitude of email addresses with just one email account.

For instance, if your gmail email address is myemail@gmail.com, you can put a “.” in between any of the letters of the email address (before the @) for a different email address that goes to your central account. As an example – my.email@gmail.com will go to your myemail@gmail.com account.

2. Concentrate on 4 or 5 Free Paid Survey companies. This way you can add up the dollar amounts and reach minimum payment faster. If you do this you will not be spreading yourself, and your time, too thin among tons of free paid survey companies.

3. The biggest problem people report concern getting offers to “clear” which means to show up from pending to will be paid. This is sometimes caused by doing too many offers from one offer grouping. Therefore, it is advised to only do at most, 3 email offers and 3 zip code offers at once from one of the same offer groups, and use different email addresses for each.

4. Clear your computer’s “cookies” often and between logins of different paid survey companies.

5. Once you signup with a free paid survey company, go to their forum or FAQ’s page and review it. Most companies have standard rules and terms, but some may have specific rules that must be followed.

6. Always use real and correct information. Never supply an incorrect email or zip code or fake information. You can usually use alternate email address, but they must be live, working email addresses. If you use fake information, your account will be terminated and earnings forfeited.

7. Setup a certain time each day to complete surveys – whether it’s 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, etc. Focus during this time on getting the surveys and/or offers completed. It is easy to get side-tracked!

8. Choose free trial offers, surveys, free offers that you are truly interested in. Free trial offers usually pay more than free offers, yet I try to stay with “free” offers.

9. If you do not wish to be contacted by telephone, do not complete survey’s or offers that say “you will receive up to 5 phone calls or emails regarding this request” — or something of that nature. These are usually “make money” or “work at home” offers. Alternatively, setup a free voicemail account like AOL’s AIM free voice mail and use that phone number instead. That way your home phone will not be ringing all day long.

Using these 9 tips for success with free paid surveys can help you with these programs. This is an excellent way to make money online. Thousands of people are earning an income with reputable Free Paid Surveys – you can too.

Home Equity Loan Preferred Source Of Consumer Credit

Posted on July 21st, 2007 in General by metal-and-stone

Home Equity Loan: Preferred Source Of Consumer Credit

A home equity loan is easier to and comes at a lower interest rate than other forms of credit; plus it can save you money at tax time.

Home equity loans remain a preferred source of consumer credit. Home equity loans can give you a lump sum of cash at relatively low interest rates, along with certain tax advantages not available with other kinds of borrowing.

Some home equity loans come with low introductory rates and variable interest; others come with fixed rates. Some loans have balloon payments at the end of the term as a way to keep the monthly payments lower.

The Right Time For A Home Equity Loan

A home equity loan makes financial sense when,

  - you can pay off high-interest debts like credit cards, car loans or medical expenses with home equity refinancing that’s not subject to rising interest rates.

  - there is enough equity built up in your house so you can borrow less than 80% of the home’s value. This means you won’t have to pay Private Mortgage Insurance.

  - you won’t be moving anytime in the next few years. That way the loan expenses—closing costs, loan fees, discount points—on the new mortgage will be paid back cost-effectively.

  - interest rates are a percentage point or more below what you are currently paying on your mortgage.

you want the convenience of consolidating your bills into a single monthly payment with a fixed repayment term.

Anytime you get a loan using your principal residence to guarantee repayment, federal credit law gives you three days to reconsider a signed credit agreement and cancel the deal without penalty. This “right to rescind” is guaranteed by the Truth In Lending Act. You have until midnight of the third business day to cancel the credit transaction.

You can learn how to avoid Home Equity Loan scams, plus get a free quote at Easy Mortgage Refinancing. This is a no-risk way to see how much you might be qualified to borrow with a home equity loan.

7 Keys to Identifying an Ideal Partnership

7 Keys to Identifying an Ideal Partnership

In the world of small business, it seems there is often a common quest: to find the ideal business partner. Usually this stems from a need to “get rid of” the roles or tasks that we struggle with. Like marketing, finance or sales.
I know when I first started my business I was desperate to find a partner who was better at marketing and sales than I was. I was convinced that if I could get that off my back and just focus on being a great coach that my business would thrive! Well four years later, I never did find that partner but I did find a way to experience a thriving business.

I realized the value of marketing partners.
Marketing partners are other entrepreneurs who are willing to cross-market your products and services to their prospects and clients.
But there is still a catch. And it’s the same kind of catch that comes with any type of partnership – from marriage to business.

Not everyone is “ideal partner material.” It’s kind of like kissing a lot of frogs before you find your prince (or princess.) Sometimes you have to get clear on who you want to play in the sand box with so you don’t have to kiss too many frogs. So I thought I’d share with you my 7 Keys to Identifying an Ideal Partnership.
Partnership Mindset. Does this person really have what it takes to be a partner? Not everyone is cut out for it. As a matter of fact, some people make lousy partners because they are just too independent or they don’t like playing with others in their sandbox. It’s important to understand why someone is pursuing a partnership. Do they just want quick sales or are they really excited to align with your business long-term?
Alignment of Values. Knowing your top 3 values can help you clarify if you have what it takes for the long-haul. If one person’s core value is independence and the others’ is collaboration, it may make for a rocky approach to achieving the goal. This is particularly important if you are joint-venturing on a project deliverable.

Shared Vision. Do you share a passion for what the outcome looks like? Do you both see a similar outcome? Or does one person want to go off on their own opportunities and the other wish to have a long-term alliance. Have you ever known a married couple where one wants kids and the other doesn’t? Eventually they part ways. Sharing a vision of the desired outcome is important to keeping harmony in the relationship.

Compatible Work Styles. This is a biggie. Do you both envision working long, hard hours to accomplish the goals? Does someone have kids that require their attention first? Are you both willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done?
Complimentary Strengths. If you both love to do the same thing and no one wants to do the other stuff, then you will have work out how that gets done. Will you outsource it? Or will someone learn it? Make sure you are both qualified to do what your role is – or else it can lead to tension and frustration.

Just as you would take time to explore if your love interest would make good marriage material, I encourage you to take some time to explore if your fellow entrepreneur would make good “partner” material. There is nothing worse than finding out in the middle of your project that you don’t like doing business with the person.
Once you have explored the keys above and are ready to move forward, be sure to establish your working agreement (I even suggest having a contract.) If you follow the steps in the Unstoppable Goals Method together, you will find that you have a strong foundation to create “unstoppable” success together.

Happy partnering!

How To Invest in Mutual Funds

How To Invest in Mutual Funds

How to evaluate mutual funds and decide which type of investment fund is right for you.
It Can Be Very Easy to Get a Piece of the Mutual Fund Action!
If you are anything like most people, you would like to see your money multiplying while you are not using it. It is for this reason that many investors, both large and small scale, have turned to the stock market to try to increase their wealth.

There have been years when this venture has been profitable and years when it has caused people to lose thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars. The problem with the stock market and other kinds of investments is that the “regular people”, those who don’t have much to invest but who probably need the money most, would invest in are too complicated to research.

To be more precise, small investors can easily get distracted and overwhelmed if they opt to do their own research when choosing an investment in which to put their money. Today, and for the past decade, people have been turning to mutual funds to earn some investment money because mutual funds have many benefits and advantages over other investments.

Most mutual funds have managers or brokers who work with a particular fund and are knowledgeable in all the nuances and details of the money and the investment. They are generally the people who choose the stocks or investments that the mutual fund will put its money into so these managers provide a good source of information and advice.

However, in exchange for their time and expertise, they will also charge many fees and expenses so that the investors end up spending money to invest their money. The solution to this is for investors to look for “no load” funds, which means that the investors pay no fees. The no load funds have been shown to earn just as much, if not more than, the funds that have fees. Paying the unnecessary expenses, contrary to what novice investors may believe, does not mean that the earnings will be higher.

Potential investors and those looking to invest in mutual funds should also be aware of the glut of information available to the general public. There are myriad books, articles, websites, internet sources, companies, journals, magazines, newspapers, and pamphlets that can be acquired for no fee. These sources of information give investors all the data and facts that are required for them to become more informed shareholders.

That being said, the reason why so many of these resources are available is because it is very important that investors are aware of the terms and conditions of the ventures in which they take part. Sometimes there are fees that people may be unaware of, somewhat like hidden fees. These sources can offer hints and tips on how to recognize these fees and how to avoid them. Other sources of information, especially on the internet, can give the history and facts of individual mutual funds so that the performance can be tracked.

In conclusion, mutual funds are very easy to get a share in and they can yield excellent results and high returns. Getting information can be very easy and investors can make their own decisions on which fund is the best for them without using the help of brokers or fund managers. This empowers the investors and makes them in charge of their own finances, offering them more control and knowledge.

Digital Camera Purchase Advice

Digital Camera Purchase Advice

Get to know some standard features and important purchase tips of digital cameras. Also learn about the co-relation of image quality and onboard image capacity.

Digital Camera has become a very popular consumer item, since it makes so easy and cheap to take pictures. However, some buyers are impulsive by nature and they are hardly aware of the standard features of digital cameras. Only after using the camera, they may realize its drawbacks. Therefore, it is important to know some standard features of digital cameras so that one can make the right decisions while buying this gadget.

The following are some standard features:

Computing Platform: Most digital cameras have interface compatibility with Mac as well as Windows operating system platforms. However, some cameras might have more software for one platform than the other, where as a few will work only on one platform. In this case, usually these cameras work on Windows platform.

Image Quality: It basically includes factors such as exposure accuracy, color purity, optics (lens) quality and image compression techniques.

Onboard Image Capacity: Whether a specific amount of onboard image capacity is sufficient or not depends largely on your application. Image capacity and image quality share a strong co-relation with each other. For instance, there is not point in having a digital camera that offers high image capacity whereas the amount of storage is not adequate in relation to the resolution. Beware of the cameras that promise a large number of images but lack actual storage space. It might affect the image quality of your photos. Standard onboard camera memory might range from 2 to 16 MB and the image storage capacity can vary from 10 to 100+ images, depending on the image resolution.

Reusable Memory Cards: There are quite a few digital cameras that allow storing images on plug-in cards and this enables users to add as much or as little memory to the camera as per individual requirement. Unlike the older version of memory card where a single type of memory card known as Liner PCMCIA was being extensively used, now memory cards can be found in different types. Some of the most popular cards are Compact Flash and FlashMedia.

Exposure Versatility: Digital cameras are unable to handle different lighting conditions. This drawback is not found in film cameras as we can compensate for different lighting situations by using different types of films. So, since the image sensor of a digital camera acts as a film, users find nearly impossible to change this setup. However, you can ensure that the digital camera you are buying has the ideal camera exposure system, such as shutter speed, variable lens opening and supplementary flash to handle a wide range of shooting conditions.

Other features:

Consider buying a waterproof camera as it can withstand moistures.

The camera you are buying should preferably have ISO support for crisper and cleaner images.

Go for higher mega pixel resolution cameras, which will offer you greater cropping ability. The higher the mega pixel resolution, the more one can enlarge his photographs. But don`t get too fussy about mega pixel resolution as it is not everything in a digital camera.

Look for pre-programmed scene modes in your camera which will take photos even in the tough and challenging lighting conditions.

While buying, focus more on optical zoom of a digital camera and not so much on the digital zoom. Optical zoom makes use of lens to get closer shots and delivers better images.

Finally, you have to be careful of not being lured into buying a camera with a `package deal` offer. What costs cheaper could also be cheaper in quality too! Digital cameras have made it easy for those who want to capture special moments. Now with so many features and affordable prices, digital camera have really become a world wide consumer product.

How To Make The Best Buy Of Perfume

Posted on July 21st, 2007 in General by metal-and-stone

How To Make The Best Buy Of Perfume

This article talks about purchase tips and features of perfumes, that might help those buying the perfume that will best suit his lifestyle.
The importance of perfume has been realized a very long time ago. Its birth can be dated back to the early Egyptians era when it was being used for religious ceremonies and love making preparations. Nowadays, perfumes have virtually become a bare essential in our society and they are being used in all walks of life. The use of perfumes adds zing to the occasions as they are considered to be one of the most luxurious and sensuous accessories in the modern society.

When it comes to the use of perfume as an essential part of body accessories, they are numerous brands available in the market that one can choose from. However, the choice of a particular brand largely depends on the social stratum of a person. These days, the use of designers` fragrance is a rage in the market and everyone wants to use a specific brand of fragrance which is not only well-known but also stands out in terms of smell.

Some facts about perfumes:
Generally, the fragrance of perfumes last longer for people who have an oily skin. This is because their oily skin has more natural moisture content that holds the fragrance. On the other hand, dry skin has less natural moisture content and, hence it fails to hold the fragrance for a longer period of time.

Admired perfumes for men range from citrus, spicy, woodsy, leathery and while they are designed in a controlled environment, the same for the women are designed for primal senses with the combination of subtleness and refinement. Perfumes for women can be found in different wonderful themes such as floral like roses, jasmine, fruity like citrus or orange blossoms, oriental like mix of spices, amber and so on.

Perfumes are worn by both men and women to display their individual personality. However, what smells wonderful on your friend might not suit your body temperament. Hence, while buying a designer perfume, bear the following dos and don`ts in mind:

How to try:

When you want to try new fragrance for its chemical reaction, try it on your body and not on an object, say on the perfume bottle cap or a piece of cardboard. If you experience any irritation on your skin, take it for granted that the chemical components of the fragrance are not suitable for your skin tone and texture and its use could be harmful for you.

No two-timing, please:

Buyers are often found to be trying different perfume fragrances at the same time. Do not use three or four fragrances at a time as it affects your sensory reflections leading to confusion relating to the choice of a particular fragrance. So, the chances are you will fail to pick that perfect perfume which would be suitable for your skin tone.

Say NO to fake & cheap:

Do not go for fake and cheap designer perfume fragrances merely for the sake of saving a few pennies. What seems like a saving could cost you dearly in the long-run. Fake and cheap fragrances can be extremely detrimental to your skin tone and texture as they are not made up of quality and standard components of fragrance. The best way to choose the perfect perfume is sniff coffee beans to clear and refresh your smelling power.

Samples:

Always try to use sample perfume bottles if it is possible for you to get one. They are extremely ideal for you to understand the ultimate effect on your body. Incase you find them suitable or otherwise, you are in a situation to make a choice accordingly.

Designer perfume outlet:

The best way and place to buy a perfume is to drop at a designer perfume outlet where you can pick your favorite designer perfumes. It helps you to take the right decision as you have a wide-range of choices to pick from. Besides, perfumes purchased from a designer perfume outlet tend to live up to your expectation. They could cost you a bit more, but you can feel the difference as you impress people with the unique smell. This is when you feel that your spending is worth it.

Warning to Happily Married Couples with Joint Accounts

Posted on July 21st, 2007 in General by metal-and-stone

Warning to Happily Married Couples with Joint Accounts

Credit held jointly can haunt you…especially after a divorce. With the divorce rate as high as it is (about 43% of all first marriages end within 15 years according to a study by the National Center for Health Statistics) be sure of your long-term relationship before you eagerly enter into a loan together.

What most divorced couples find out after it’s too late is that both borrowers on a joint account are responsible for the loan—regardless of what the judge says—until the loan is either paid off or refinanced in one person’s name.

And if your ex-spouse is more than 30 days late paying the bill, your credit reports will also be affected negatively and your credit scores will plummet.

I’ve seen it happen hundreds of times. A couple gets divorced, the judge says the husband is responsible for paying off the credit cards and loans, and the wife goes home happy, thinking she’s off the hook (or vice versa).

Then, a few months later, after the ex-husband fails to make payments or defaults on some loans, the ex-wife’s credit scores sink. And keep sinking.

What I’m trying to say is that a mean-spirited spouse can continue to ruin your credit for many years after a divorce by making late payments (or not making them at all) on any credit held jointly. And if you cannot afford to pick up the slack…things will be rough.

So remember, just because a judge says it’s so—doesn’t make it so. You have to be proactive and get your name off of all joint accounts…or volunteer to be responsible for all joint accounts to ensure they get paid on time.

Of course, I’m not trying to promote divorce. I want to show you how to protect your credit.

How the spouse with good credit can speed up the recovery of the spouse with bad credit

OK, let’s say that you have really low credit scores and your spouse has great credit scores. The best way for you to increase your scores is to have your spouse add you as an authorized user to their credit card accounts.

As an authorized user—you’ll get a new credit card with your name on it—but the primary card holder will still be responsible to pay the amount owed, regardless of who charges on it.

But here’s the interesting part. Most lenders will report the entire credit history of the account on the authorized user’s credit reports.

So, you instantly get a good credit history added to your credit reports!

But, don’t pick just any card to be an authorized user on. You should choose the accounts wisely. I would select the oldest accounts, with the highest credit limits, that have the lowest balances.

Another word of caution…

Just remember, if you’re the primary cardholder and any of your authorized users go on a shopping spree, then fly the coop—you’re still responsible for the balance owed.

“…But my husband charged my account to the hilt and left me…”

Doesn’t matter.

“…But my husband lied to me, stole my children, and left in the middle of the night without me…”

Lenders don’t care.

“…But my wife was having an affair with the pool boy and maxed all of my credit cards that she was an authorized user on…”

Tough luck.

You get the idea. Lenders don’t care what’s going on in your personal life. All they care about is that the balance gets paid. So, if you have good credit, please think twice about sharing it.

And if you’re going to become the authorized user of your spouse’s credit card, make sure everything’s going OK at home first and that there are no surprises around the corner.

Sometimes it’s just about your FICO credit scores…putting your best foot forward

When applying for credit cards your scores are either high enough to qualify or they aren’t. For example, when you apply for a department store credit card, there’s no negotiating. You’re either approved or not. The decision is based on one of your FICO credit scores.

So put your best foot forward at the beginning. The person who has the highest FICO credit scores should apply for credit.

Michele and I do this all the time. When it’s time to apply for new credit it’s all about who has the highest FICO score from the credit reporting agency the lender uses to make a lending decision. Sometimes my scores are higher. Sometimes hers are higher. It doesn’t matter to us whose scores they use, we just want to qualify for the best terms.

In fact, the “putting your best foot forward” strategy isn’t always exclusive to credit cards—it works with any lender that makes lending decisions based primarily on FICO credit scores.

For example, the car I’m driving right now was originally financed by one of my wife, Michele’s FICO scores. When I decided to keep it a little longer, my scores were high enough to get the best terms—so I refinanced using my scores.

You can purchase your credit scores to determine who should be applying for unsecured credit cards right now. Preferably whoever has 700+ scores. Once approved, you can add your spouse to the account as an authorized user.
